Sunday
Originally we were planning to go to church this morning but Mom decided she didn't want to go.  Esther needed to go to the mall to get some birthday presents for her friends.  I went to Hot Topic to get a record.  I also asked what age they usually hire.  They said they hire at 16.  I am going to apply next summer for a job there.  I think it would be a lot of fun to work there.  It took Esther a long time to decide what to get so we were at the mall a lot longer then we should of been.  Luckily we didn't have much planned for the rest of the day.  Tomorrow I am going to Guitar Center with my friends Jake and Chase to get the rest of the stuff we need to record.  I think that will be fun.  I have to finish my summer assignments before I leave for California on Thursday.  I still have a lot to do.  I have to finish my math packet and start on my English assignment.  I will probably put it off till Wednesday though  because I am such a procrastinator.  I have started packing for California already though.  I have started watching a new TV show and it is very good.  It is called Supernatural.
Monday
Today Jake and Chase came over at ten forty five.  We went to Guitar Center to get the stuff we need to record.  We got drum microphones, a mixer, and a bunch of cables we needed to get all of them to work.  Next we went to Chase's house to set everything up.  We got everything set up within a half an hour or so.  It is still going to take Chase a while to figure everything out.  Then we walked to Taco Bell to get some lunch.  I had a piano lesson today too.  At one forty Mom came to pick me up from Chase's so I could be home in time for the piano lesson.  It went pretty well.  We are still working on the Moonlight Sonata.  I am almost done with the first movement completely.  We are planning on starting the second movement on my next lesson.  That will be a while from now though.  We will be out of town for 2 and a half weeks or so.  Other then that the day was pretty boring.  I watched supernatural for the rest of the day.  It is a very good show about who brothers who are demon hunters.  Tomorrow I am hanging out with a friend all morning.  I haven't seen her in quite a while.
Tuesday
Today I went to the mall first thing in the morning.  I needed to get my friend a birthday present because her birthday is Thursday.  That is the day I leave for California though.  She invited me over to hang out today because I wouldn't be there on her birthday.  She really liked her present.  We hung out from eleven till about two.  After Mom picked me up we went to the grocery store.  Mom needed some stuff for the dinner she was making tonight.  Esther and I got lunch there.  After we were all done at the grocery store we went home.  Esther and I played some video games before she stopped to start cleaning the car.  I came up stairs and watched another episode of supernatural.  Just after the episode was over we had to leave because I had a haircut.  I just got a touch up on it.  I got the sides shaved a little shorter and got the top textured a little bit more so that it was easier to gel.  Then when I got home I said hi to sandy.   Then I got ready to catch up on my blogs.  Tomorrow I am going to take my permit test to get my learners permit.  I am kind of scared to drive though.

saturday

Today we went to see a movie as a family.  We saw the movie The Way Way Back.  It was filmed on Cape Cod.  I think that is so cool! The plot of the movie is there is a family who kinda dysfunctional.  The kid is very socially awkward and doesn't fit in with his family.  His step dad is very mean to him.  He finds a mentor of sorts.  He is the manager at Water Wizz.  It is one of my new favorite movies.  It was so good.  After the movie was over we went out to lunch.  After much debate on where to eat we finally decided on Noodles & Company.  After we ate we headed home.  Later that day we went to the grocery store to get stuff for dinner and dessert.  We made homemade milkshakes.  They turned out surprisingly well.  Tomorrow I don't think we are doing much.  I am planning on getting my learners permit at some point this week but I leave for California on Thursday.  I am very excited to go to California!  I think it will be so much fun.  I haven't been in 4 years or so.  It will be nice to see grandma and grandpa Eilers again.  I don't know what all I will be doing but I bet it will be fun.

friday

This morning Janet came to help Mom clean the house.  She showed up a little late but she was done by eleven thirty or so.  After she finished it was just about time for Mom to leave for her haircut.  Before she left we went to get some pizza.  They had a lunch special where you got two slices of pizza and a fountain drink.  I got a slice with ricotta on it and a slice with black olives.  Mom also got a slice of ricotta but she got a slice of pepperoni for Esther when she got home from camp.  It was her last day of camp.  They had a big party all day.  Esther was all hyped up on sugar when she got home. Before long she crashed and was pretty grumpy for the rest of the day.  Tomorrow we are going to see a movie as a family.  It is called The Way Way Back,  It was filmed in Falmouth! I think it is very cool.  We are going to a new movie theater. It seems like it will be all preppy and stuff.  I don't have many other plans for the weekend.  On Monday I am hanging out with the band to get the rest of the stuff we need to record.  My friends birthday is on Thursday but that is the day I leave for California.  I will probably hang out with them the day before to give them their present.

Thursday

Today Esther had her show.  It started at one forty five.  It was okay.  There were some really good bits but a lot of it was very boring.  They tried to do a commentary on how technology has taken over our lives but it ended up being a little preachy.  There was a really good bit where two of the actors broke the fourth wall.  It was by far the longest stage door I have ever seen.  It was over two hours long.  I think next year they should keep it a little shorter.  After it was over Esther wanted to go to dairy queen to celebrate.   A bunch of Esther's friends who went to go see the show went too.  I saw one of my friends there.  It was blizard day at dairy queen.  They donated half the money they made from blizzards to charity that day.  Tomorrow is Esther's last day of camp is tomorrow.  They just have a big party all day.  Esther is very excited for it.  I studied for my drivers test for the rest of the day.  I am planning to go take the test on Monday I hope I pass it.  The DMV is at the mall so Esther is excited to go too.  I am nervous though.  All my friends who have taken it said it was pretty easy though.

wednesday

Today Esther stayed home from camp.  She wasn't feeling well.  She was really congested.  She is enjoying the camp a lot though.  Esther and I starting playing a game of Monopoly but we never finished it.  We also got out the bread machine from downstairs.  We tried making yogurt bread but Esther put in to much salt so the bread didn't rise enough and it was really salty.  Before we made the bread we went to the store to get the materials we needed.  Tomorrow me and Mom are planning to try again.  Hopefully the next on comes out better.  It is really easy to make the bread.  Esther's play is tomorrow.  Mom and I are going to see it.  Ms. Hard says it is the longest play shes ever done with this camp.  Esther says it is almost two hours long.  Hopefully it isn't too boring.  Usually the play's stage door does are fairly boring unfortunately.  I don't have many plans this week or next week.  I leave for California for two weeks in another week or so.  I am excited to go on a vacation.  It will be my first all summer.  The summer has been pretty boring so far.  I only have a couple weeks left before I head back to school.

Sunday:
Today Mom and Dad went to see Wolverine at Tyson's Corner mall.  I decided to sleep in because it was the first day all week that I could sleep in.  I slept in till eleven or so.  Then I got to relax for most of the day.  Mom and Dad got home from the movie at about one thirty.  Then they took a nap.  Esther and Mom went the swim banquet.  All the people on the summer swim team were invited.  It was a potluck so Esther wanted to go to target get hot dogs to bring. I went with them to pick up dinner for me and dad.  I got frozen pizza and some salad.  Esther got the new Taylor Swift CD at target.  When we got home they got ready for the potluck.  Dad and I made the pizza and salad for dinner.  Tomorrow Esther starts her two weeks of camp.  I think she will have fun.  Some of my friends are going to be counselors there.  This will be her first time doing devised theater.  I really enjoy it.  It is different then most other types of theater though.  I hope she likes it.  I don't have many plans this week over all.  I will be having band practice a few times this week but other then that I won't be doing much.
Monday:
Today was Esther's first day of drama camp with Ms. Hard.  She said she is really enjoying it.  A lot of my friends are counselors this year.  Esther will be at Robinson next year.  It will be the first time since elementary school we will be at the same school.  I had band practice today.  We are still working on writing.  The song we recorded won't be release because our drummer was too off time at some points for to be fixed.  We are going buy microphones for the drums so we can do drums ourselves.  Our guitarist has an easy way to record guitars really well.  I have some really good vocal microphones.  We are going to take out time to finish writing.  We have a total of 7 songs in the works.  After we think we have finished our songs will record them ourselves.  Then one of my friends who is college now for producing is going to mix them for us for free.  So it will still be a while until we release anything.  It will probably be September or October.  We had a good practice today.  We are working on finishing our third full song.  We are spending alot of time on each song to perfect them.
Tuesday:
Today was Esther's second day of camp.  The camp starts at nine thirty.  I woke up this morning at ten forty five or so.  After I woke up I watched some tv.  At noon Aaron came.  Since Esther wasn't here I had an hour long lesson.  We worked on the Moonlight Sonata for the most part.  I am almost done with the first movement.  There are three movements total.  The second movement is few short.  It is barely a page long.  The last movement however is really long.  It is 5 or 6 pages.  After my lesson was over I made some lunch.  At around 3 my friend came over.  We hung out for a while.  It was fun to hang out with my friend.  Tomorrow I am going to the mall.  Then I have a doctors appointment.  I might be hanging out with another friend tomorrow too.  It will be a pretty full day.  Other then that I don't really have any plans this week.  I am going to California in just a few weeks.  I am very excited to get out of Virginia for a few weeks.  I will be there for one week just by myself then the rest of the family will come out for the second week.  We are driving from California to Washington.

Saturday

Today I went to Bethesda, Maryland for a theater conference.  When I got there first person I saw was Mr. Rome.  He is my drama teacher at Robinson.  Then I found all the other people I was there with.  We got to go to three presentations.  The first one was Ashley's workshop on devised theater.  We went really quickly through all the different aspects of Voices Of Now and demonstrated some of the different activities we used to devise our play.  I like devised theater a lot.  Esther's camp for the next two weeks is a devised theater camp.  Next we went to lunch.  I talked to some of my friends from Voices Of Now and caught up with them.  I hadn't seen them since May, when the performance was.  It was nice to see them.  Then we got to choose between a few different lectures.  I choose to go to one on drag in theater.  It was very interesting.  She talked about the difference between a guy playing a girl character and a guy playing in drag.  She said the difference was a guy playing in drag is more comedic and a guy playing a girl is more of an honest portrayal of a female character.  The last workshop was a workshop on tableaux.  We use a lot of tableaux in Voices of Now.
