Sunday, Monday, Tuesday

Sunday:
Today Mom and Dad went to see Wolverine at Tyson's Corner mall.  I decided to sleep in because it was the first day all week that I could sleep in.  I slept in till eleven or so.  Then I got to relax for most of the day.  Mom and Dad got home from the movie at about one thirty.  Then they took a nap.  Esther and Mom went the swim banquet.  All the people on the summer swim team were invited.  It was a potluck so Esther wanted to go to target get hot dogs to bring. I went with them to pick up dinner for me and dad.  I got frozen pizza and some salad.  Esther got the new Taylor Swift CD at target.  When we got home they got ready for the potluck.  Dad and I made the pizza and salad for dinner.  Tomorrow Esther starts her two weeks of camp.  I think she will have fun.  Some of my friends are going to be counselors there.  This will be her first time doing devised theater.  I really enjoy it.  It is different then most other types of theater though.  I hope she likes it.  I don't have many plans this week over all.  I will be having band practice a few times this week but other then that I won't be doing much.
Monday:
Today was Esther's first day of drama camp with Ms. Hard.  She said she is really enjoying it.  A lot of my friends are counselors this year.  Esther will be at Robinson next year.  It will be the first time since elementary school we will be at the same school.  I had band practice today.  We are still working on writing.  The song we recorded won't be release because our drummer was too off time at some points for to be fixed.  We are going buy microphones for the drums so we can do drums ourselves.  Our guitarist has an easy way to record guitars really well.  I have some really good vocal microphones.  We are going to take out time to finish writing.  We have a total of 7 songs in the works.  After we think we have finished our songs will record them ourselves.  Then one of my friends who is college now for producing is going to mix them for us for free.  So it will still be a while until we release anything.  It will probably be September or October.  We had a good practice today.  We are working on finishing our third full song.  We are spending alot of time on each song to perfect them.
Tuesday:
Today was Esther's second day of camp.  The camp starts at nine thirty.  I woke up this morning at ten forty five or so.  After I woke up I watched some tv.  At noon Aaron came.  Since Esther wasn't here I had an hour long lesson.  We worked on the Moonlight Sonata for the most part.  I am almost done with the first movement.  There are three movements total.  The second movement is few short.  It is barely a page long.  The last movement however is really long.  It is 5 or 6 pages.  After my lesson was over I made some lunch.  At around 3 my friend came over.  We hung out for a while.  It was fun to hang out with my friend.  Tomorrow I am going to the mall.  Then I have a doctors appointment.  I might be hanging out with another friend tomorrow too.  It will be a pretty full day.  Other then that I don't really have any plans this week.  I am going to California in just a few weeks.  I am very excited to get out of Virginia for a few weeks.  I will be there for one week just by myself then the rest of the family will come out for the second week.  We are driving from California to Washington.

Saturday

Today I went to Bethesda, Maryland for a theater conference.  When I got there first person I saw was Mr. Rome.  He is my drama teacher at Robinson.  Then I found all the other people I was there with.  We got to go to three presentations.  The first one was Ashley's workshop on devised theater.  We went really quickly through all the different aspects of Voices Of Now and demonstrated some of the different activities we used to devise our play.  I like devised theater a lot.  Esther's camp for the next two weeks is a devised theater camp.  Next we went to lunch.  I talked to some of my friends from Voices Of Now and caught up with them.  I hadn't seen them since May, when the performance was.  It was nice to see them.  Then we got to choose between a few different lectures.  I choose to go to one on drag in theater.  It was very interesting.  She talked about the difference between a guy playing a girl character and a guy playing in drag.  She said the difference was a guy playing in drag is more comedic and a guy playing a girl is more of an honest portrayal of a female character.  The last workshop was a workshop on tableaux.  We use a lot of tableaux in Voices of Now.

Friday

Today was my last day of work.  My groups performed got there parents today.  Each station was short.  Only twenty minutes instead of fifty minutes each.  At the end of the stations they performed for the other campers and there parents.  My group in the morning is a full day group so they performed in the afternoon.  I performed with both of my groups.  I performed twice in the afternoon.  We also found out today that one of the campers had had lice all week but there parents never told us.  The leader of the camp did a deep clean of all the carpeted rooms we used.  He was very mad that they didn't tell us.  Tomorrow I am going to a theater conference with voices of now.  A few of my friends are going.  We are helping Ashley, the leader of voices of now do a presentation on devising theater.  I think it will be fun.  I am looking forward to finally sleeping in on Sunday though.  Esther had camp this week.  I don't know what I will be doing this week.  I will probable be having band practice a few times this week and I will probably be hanging out with some friends this week too.

Wednesday and thursday

Wednesday
Today I had work.  I woke up at 7:30 to be there at 8:45.  In the morning I work with the oldest kids.  Each group goes to four stations.  Performance, Music and Movement, Acting, and Tech.  In Performance the kids prepare a play they come up with over the course of the week, they perform it for there parents at the end of the week.  In Music and Movement the kids prepare a dance to a song from a musical.  In Acting the kids just play games.  They also learn about improv games and theatre sports.  In Tech the kids learn about the 5 aspects of tech.  Props, Makeup, Costumes, Lights, and Sound.  In the afternoon I have the youngest group of kids.  They are 2nd and 3rd graders.  They are hard to keep control of.  One of the campers just walks off and won't listen to anyone.  Other then that it isn't so bad.  I like the people I am working with this week.  Some of them are good friends I've known for a while others are people I have seen around the drama department but haven't talked to much.  I am enjoying it so far.  It is pretty tiring though.  I am exhausted after a day there.
Thursday
Today the campers finished getting ready for there performance tomorrow.  The older campers in the morning are dancing to the song Ease On Down The Road from The Wiz.  It is looking pretty good.  The counselors are dancing with the campers.  There play is about a girl who gets trapped in a story book world.  The group is pretty creative and are fun to work with.  The afternoon group is quite a handful.  They are dancing to Let's Go Fly A Kite from Mary Poppins.  Tomorrow is my last day of work.  I am looking forward to sleeping in this weekend.  I only have a break every other day.  During lunch half the counselors have lunch with the campers and the other half have a break.  I have my breaks on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  I always have breaks with the same people.  I feel kind bad for the people that have break only two days.  It is really nice to have a break half way through the day where you aren't around the campers.  I might be seeing a movie with a friend tomorrow night.  That would be a lot of fun.  I haven't seen my friends very much this week.

Friday

Today was a pretty boring day.  The end of my boring day's will be next week though.  I have work from 8:30 till 4:15 or so.  I am a camp counselor.  I don't know what age group I will be working with yet though.  I hope I don't have to work with the really really young kids because I don't work as well with the youngest kids.  Esther will be attending the same camp but not the same week I am being a counselor.  I am only working one week this year because I am technically training this year to be a full-time counselor next year.  Counselor's usually work three or four of the weeks each year.  I am getting paid for this week but not as much as a full time counselor would be.  I won't be able to see my friends as much this week but I might be hanging out with some of my friends after my day of work is over.  I think it will be a pretty good week overall.  I think work will be kind of stressful but fun sometimes.  I will not be working with Mrs. Hard, my drama teacher in middle school.  Even though she is part of the camp.  Esther is taking her camp next week which takes places on the other end of the school.

Thursday

Today I woke up in the morning and watched Master Chef with Mom.  Then my friend Nika invited me over.  We hung out from about ten thirty till about two thirty.  Then Mom came to pick me up.  Esther's friend Zach was over when we got home.  They wanted to go to the bowling alley.  I rode in the car with them.  On the way there Mom took me to Taco Bell.  Then we dropped off Esther and Zach off at the bowling alley.  Then Mom dropped me back at home because I didn't want to go bowling.  At school we bowl every Friday in our gym classes so I am sick of it by now.  After Mom dropped me off she went back to the bowling alley with Esther and Zach because the bowling alley can be shady sometimes.  I relaxed at the house until it was about six thirty then I had a vocal lesson.  The vocal lesson went pretty well.  We worked on some acoustic songs.  I am working on a solo project apart from my band where I sing, play guitar, and sometimes piano.  Next week I am bringing him the first song I have finished writing for that.  I enjoy working with my voice teacher.

wednesday

Today I was supposed to have a piano lesson but Aaron forgot.  We rescheduled for tomorrow morning though.  Esther made dinner tonight.  We went to Wegman's to pick up some of the ingredients.  Esther's friend Hope came with us.  They decided to make the cupcake's together.  We got lunch there too.  I got some vegetarian lasagna.  Mom got a slice of pizza.  Esther's dinner was pretty good overall.  There was a little to much soy sauce in the pasta though.  The cupcake's were very good though.  They were vanilla cupcakes with green frosting, 3 oreo's and an M&M.  They looked like sunflowers.  I am excited to make my dish on Saturday.  I hope it turns out okay.  I have never cooked polenta before of made the sauce.  The dessert shouldn't be to hard though i am just making the cookies for ice cream sandwiches.  I want to start cooking more often because I enjoy it.  Tomorrow I am going to hang out with my friend.  So far this summer had been pretty good.  I enjoy relaxing summers.  I can't believe the summer is almost halfway over!  It has went by so fast.

Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday

Sunday:
Today was pretty boring.  I woke up around at eight and couldn't go back to sleep cause my throat hurt.  I have a little bit of a cold.  Mom went to church in the morning and ran some errands.  Esther and I played some video games.  Then I caught up on my blogs.  Then the whole family went out to dinner at Olive Garden.  It was fun.  Esther got spaghetti and meatballs.  I got shrimp Alfredo.  Mom got spaghetti and meat sauce and Dad got soup.  For an appetizer we got calamari and zucchini.  I don't really have any plans this week.  I am going to be hanging out with some friends this week.  That will be fun.  Other then that it will be a pretty boring week. Our single is being mixed in a week and then we will have a lyrics video made for it.  We will release it in the next week or so.  It is very exciting.  We are going to try to play a few shows over the rest of the summer.  I am going to California for the last two weeks in august and I am working next week but other then that I don't have many summer plans.  It has been a pretty relaxing summer so far.  That is a good thing.

Monday:
Today the new refrigerator was delivered.  I just woke up when they were leaving after delivering it and installing it.  It fit just as dad and I had predicted.  Then as we were waiting for it to cool off, we went grocery shopping.  Esther had a swim meet that night so it was just Dad and I.  We watched the home run derby.  Dad went upstairs to go to bed about half an hour after it started though.  I stayed up to watch the whole thing.  Esther and Mom got home from the swim meet at 9:30 or so.  Esther and I have decided to make dinner one night this week each.  Esther is making dinner and dessert on Wednesday.  She is making Chinese spaghetti and meatballs for dinner and "Sun Flower" cupcakes for dessert.  The cupcakes are vanilla cupcakes that a frosted to look like sun flowers.  I am making dinner dessert on Saturday.  I am making a mushroom "bolognese" and Polenta dish for dinner and I am making homemade ice cream sandwiches for dessert.  I think it will be fun.  We are going to Wegman's to go shopping on Wednesday.  I enjoy cooking a lot of the time.
Tuesday:
Today I woke up at about 11:30 or so.  I was supposed to have a piano lesson from 12:30 - 1 but our teacher forgot to come.  He is coming tomorrow instead.  I had a doctors appointment at 1:45.  It was pretty boring.  Then I had a rehearsal in D.C from 6 to 8.  It was for the program I did this year called Voices of Now.  We are performing a scene from our piece at a convention in Maryland a week from Saturday.  We haven't rehearsed the play since the beginning of May so it was really rough.  We ended up changing a lot of the scene.  It was nice to see my friends again.  All the people who didn't graduate this year made it back in for next year.  I really enjoy the people in the ensemble.  One of my good friends in the ensemble is going off to college this year though.  Luckily he is going to George Mason which is just down the street from my house.  He is going to come over to visit a lot.  We offered him a home cooked meals and a place to wash his clothes if he ever needs it.  I will be fun to still see him even though he is in college.  I would of really missed him.

Thursday and Friday and Saturday

Thursday:
Today we didn't do anything at all.  I woke up at twelve thirty or so.  Then I stayed at home for most of the day.  I was really sore from warped tour the day before.  It was hard to get out of bed.  My arms were the most sore.  My backpack I brought to warped tour ripped in the middle of the Wall Of Death during Secrets set.  It was a lot of fun though.  I can't wait to go again next year! Hopefully a lot of my favorite bands will be there again.  Issues is on Warped Tour this year but they didn't play our date.  I have seen them twice already but I really want to see them again.  They are amazing live.  I start work in two weeks.  It is going to be fun.  I am going to be a counselor at the Robinson Drama Camps.  I am a walking counselor which means I work with all the kids.  I will be helping where ever help is needed.  I have never done something like this before so I am kind of nervous, but I know I will do fine.  Esther comes home from camp tomorrow.  We are going to make her Great Grandma Anderson's Chocolate Cake.  I don't think I have ever had it but Grandma says it is really good.

Friday:
Today Esther comes home.  We are making Great Grandma Anderson's cake for dessert.  In the morning Mom and I made the cake but we couldn't make the frosting because we were short on the unsweetened chocolate.  Later in the day mom and I went out to get some stuff.  We went to go get my haircut.  I am very pleased with how it came out.  I shaved the sides but left the top long.  Then on the way home we went by the grocery store.  The first store we went had no unsweetened chocolate which was kind of weird.  So we went to another grocery store and they had it.  Then once we got home we made the frosting for the cake.  After some down time it was time to go pick up Esther.  When we arrived the bus's were just pulling in.  On the way home Esther told us all about camp.  It seems like she had fun.  We had hamburgers for dinner.  Then we cut the cake.  The cake was very good.  The frosting was the best part though.  Tomorrow I am recording with my band.  I am very excited we have been working on this song for quite a long time now.  Recording starts at 2:30.
Saturday:
Today I recorded with my band.  I woke up at noon then I got ready.  At about one I headed over to Chase's house to pack up his drums.  He gave me a ride to the studio.  Once we got there we set up the drums.  It took us about an hour to get drums done then we moved on to bass.  It took me about half an hour to get all the bass parts tracked.  Next we went back to drums and got all the samples we needed.  Then we moved on the rhythm guitar which took another half an hour.  Next we did the lead guitar parts which took about twenty minutes.  Then we overdubbed the lead guitar parts which took about ten minutes.  Lastly we did vocals.  That took us about thirty to forty minutes then we were out of time.  We need to go back in order to mix it.  Today cost us $200.  It is going to be another $200 to mix it and get a final product.  It was a lot of fun recording.  We will need to find another $200 though so we can finish it up and get the product so we can release it.  By the end of the summer we will have at least one song done and ready to release.  It is very exciting.

Wednesday

Today was warped tour.  I woke up at seven to get ready.  Everyone was here and we were left at eight thirty.  We arrived at the venue at nine thirty or so.  The doors opened at 11 so we got in line.  Once the doors opened I went with Chase and we got a schedule.  Chase had to leave at 3 so he could go to his swim meet.  We caught Woe, Is Me and a few other bands before he had to leave.  All the bands I wanted to see didn't play till later though.  Before Chase left we went to a signing of the band Secrets.  The first band that I really wanted to see was letlive.  They were very good.  I had already seen them already but it was fun to see them again.  At four fifteen Like Moths To Flames played.  They are one of my favorite bands.  I got up on the barricade for that show.  As soon as they were done I ran over to see The Wonder Years on the main stage.  After they were over I got some grilled cheese for dinner and then I went over to the Kevin Says stage to see Secrets.  I saw my friends Koyla and Matt at that set.  As soon as they were over I ran to the Tilly's stage to see The Story So Far.  After they were over I ran back to the Kevin Says stage to see Citizen.  Lastly I ran over to the Monster Stage to see Attila before the day was over.

Monday and Tuesday

Monday:
This morning I woke up at 11:30.  After I got ready for the day it was about noon.  Mom and I went out to run some errands.  We went to the library first to drop off some books.  Next we went to the atm so Mom can get some more cash.  Last we went to the bagel bakery to get some bagels for lunch.  I got an everything bagel with vegetable cream cheese.  Mom got a banana walnut bagel.  The rest of the week is pretty exciting.  Tomorrow I am hanging out with a friend in the morning.  In the afternoon/evening we are going to have band practice to get ready for recording on Saturday.  Wednesday is warped tour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am so excited.  We are planning to be there at 9:30 or 10.  The doors open at 11 and the first bands play at 11:15. The last band will end at 9 in the evening.  It will be a lot of fun.  Chase and I have decided to spend the day together seeing bands.  The bands I am going to see are Citizen, Like Moths To Flames, The Wonder Years, The Story So Far and Matt Kerekes.  I am going to have a lot of fun.  On Friday I am going to get my haircut.  Esther is also coming home Friday night.  I am going to make the chocolate cake recipe grandma sent me a few days ago for dessert on Friday for her.
Tuesday:
This morning I had a piano lesson with Aaron.  Since Esther isn't here this week I took the full hour lesson.  We worked on the Moonlight sonata for the most part.  After my lesson I went to my friend Nika's house.  We picked her up and went back to my house.  We played some video games and played with sandy.  Then we walked Taco bell to get some lunch.  Then when we got back her mom came to pick her up.  After she left I packed up my stuff and I headed to practice.  We started practice at 4 and we practiced till 8:30.  We practiced the whole time.  We got the song we are recording on Saturday completely ready to record.  We also finished up a second song we have been working on.  We now have two songs ready to perform and a few more on the way to being complete.  Tomorrow is warped tour.  I am carpooling with Jake, Christopher, Chase, Fernanda, and Abby.  I am not going to be hanging out with many of them I am going to be hanging out with Chase for the most part.  We are meeting up with our friend Mikayla.  I might be meeting up with some of my other friends while I am there too.

The Weekend

Saturday:
Dad went out on the boat with sandy.  I didn't wake up till 11:30 or so.  I was really tired.  Sandy got really dirty because she went swimming in the water.  After they got back dad and I took sandy to get a bath.  It took a lot of shampoo to get her clean again but we got her very clean again.  Other then that it was a very boring day.  Esther leaves for camp tomorrow.  She will be gone from Sunday till Friday.  She is going to be at Girl Scout.  She doesn't really want to go.  She is worried about not having her electronics for a few days. She is also worried about not being with mom and dad for such a long time.  She is also very mad that I don't have to go to a sleep away camp.  I am going to stay in California for an extra week with Grandma and Grandpa Eilers.  I am very excited.  I think it is going to be a lot of fun.  That is going to be the at the end of August.  I am not going to any camps this summer other then working at one.  I am going to use this as more of a relaxing summer because school can be really stressful and I really need some time to just relax.  Esther is going to be doing quite a few camps though.
Sunday:
Today I woke up early and went on a walk around royal lake with Sandy.  Royal lake is about a mile around so it was a nice long walk for sandy.  After we finished the walk we brought Sandy back home, the whole family decided to go out to first watch for breakfast.  I got carrot cake pancakes.  They were very good.  Esther got the "traditional breakfast".  It was 2 eggs, hashbrowns, and sausages.  Dad and Mom both got a crepe with cheese and vegetable.  After we ate breakfast and got home Esther and I played some Mario Kart before Esther had to get ready to go to camp.  She is going to Girl Scout camp all week.  It is a sleep away camp so I will be the only child here this week.  I think she will have fun at camp.  She seemed kinda nervous about it though.  After we dropped off Esther we went to Costco.  After we got everything we needed and waited in line for the register but apparently dad was taken off his companies Costco card.  So they weren't going to let us check out.  After some bickering with the manager they finally let us check out.  After that we came home.  The rest of the day was pretty boring.

Wednesday, 4th of July, Friday

Wednesday:
In the morning Esther had a dentists appointment.  She chipped her teeth on the side of the pool.  The dentist said that it wasn't that bad.  She sanded off the edges.  The dentist said that if it starts to hurt of anything that she should come back to the dentist.  The day was pretty boring other then that.  When dad got home we ate dinner then we went to the shopping center to buy some fireworks.  Dad gave each of us eight dollars to spend.  We combined our money and bough a 16 dollar firework.  They also had a buy one get one free sale so we got two of them.  Dad bought some fireworks too.  After we bought the fireworks we went to Josie's.  It is a frozen yogurt place.  Esther and I both bought some.  You pay by the ounce there it is pretty interesting.  Tomorrow is the fourth of July.  We are seeing some fire works but other then that we aren't really doing anything.  I think it will be fun.  On Friday we are having band practice again.  We are going to continue writing so that we are ready to record on the 13th.  On the 10th I am going to warped tour!  It is going to be an awesome day.

4th of July:
Today is the 4th of July.  We are going to see the fireworks are the country club tonight then we are setting off our own.  This morning though we aren't really doing anything.  Mom and Dad went to see the new Superman movie.  I woke up at about 11 so they had already left.  Esther stayed here because she didn't want to see the movie.  We played some video games for a while then we walked to the park.  Mom and Dad said the movie was okay.  It was kind of boring at parts and you never really felt like Superman was gonna lose.  For dinner we had hamburgers, and pasta salad.  It was a pretty usual forth of July dinner.  At eight thirty or so we walked to the country club to see the fireworks.  The fireworks didn't start to nine thirty though.  They lasted for a good fifteen minutes.  Then we walked home.  Sandy was really scared of the fireworks.  After we got home we set off the fireworks we bought.  We bought two big ones this year.  They worked really well.  I set off all of them.  We had about 7 or 8 of them.  Tomorrow we are having band practice again.  We record in just over a week now.
Friday:
Today I was supposed to have a full band practice at Chase's house but Chase cancelled at the last minute.  Instead we went to Jake's house and taught Christopher what he missed on last time.  We also ran through the other song we are recording a few times.  I think it is starting to sound really good.  We are going to release it in early august.  One of my friends is making a sort of video for it once we are done recording it.  I am going to warped tour on Wednesday.  It will be alot of fun.  The Warped tour is a big music festival that lasts all day.  Six of my top ten favorite bands will be there.  I am going to see Citizen, Like Moths To Flames, The Wonder Years, letlive., The Story So Far, and Bring Me The Horizon.  I starts at 11 in the morning and goes to 9 at night or so.  I am going to try to meet some people there too.  A lot of the bands hang out at there merch tents after there sets.  It is pretty easy to meet them.  Jake and Christopher went last year but this will be my first year going.  I have heard it is very fun.  Then on Saturday we will record.  I think next week will be very good.

Monday and Tuesday

Monday:
Today I woke up and watched the show Food Network Star.  It is a cooking competition show where the contestants compete to win a TV show on the Food Network.  It is an interesting show because it is as much about the personalities as it is about the cooking.  I don't really have a favorite person yet.  The season just started.  After Esther woke up we played Mario Kart for a while.  For lunch mom choose mystery ingredients for Esther and I to make lunch with then she judges them.  The ingredients were  top ramen, veggie burgers, and waffles.  I made a veggie burger sandwich with waffle buns and a fried egg on top.  On the side I had "french fry" ramen with a spicy ketchup sauce.  Esther made a boiled ramen and waffle puree served on top of a waffle.  The scoring system was 10 points for plating, 10 points for taste, and 10 points for creativity.  We both scored 23 points overall.  I won in taste and creativity but Esther won in plating.  It was fun.  In the evening Esther had a swim meet.  I didn't go to the swim meet I stayed home and listened to my records for the night.  It was pretty relaxing.
Tuesday:
Today I woke up around 10 and Esther had already left for her math tutoring session.  When the got back Aaron was here for our piano lesson.  I took the first lesson.  I am working on the moonlight sonata by Beethoven currently.  It is my favorite classical piece of all time.  After my piano lesson, I went to hang out with my friend Maggie.  We went mini golfing then just hung out for a while it was fun.  After I left it was about 3.  I went home and made myself some lunch.  Band practice started at 4.  The whole full time band was there.  Jake, Chase, and I.  We are working on writing our second single for our EP.  Our first one is done and we will record it July 13th.  It is called "Why Not Tonight".  Our second one sounds better I think.  The bass line is pretty cool and funky.  The drums have a nice beat.  I wrote the lyrics for this one and I think these are best lyrics I have ever written.  This one is called "I Won't Be Seeing You This Summer".  Today we wrote the bass part finalized the guitar parts and got through everything but the breakdown and the bridge on drums.  We will finish up the song on Friday.
